‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the production, commenting that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

After the tragedy, public individuals shared varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making divisive remarks that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the critics recently. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they demonstrated a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an aide ought to have acted when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
